Eligibility
- Must hold or be in final year of a qualifying degree (Engineering, Science, Commerce, Arts, Architecture, etc.)
- No age limit or attempt limit is applicable.
Exam Pattern & Papers
- The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
- Each session is 3 hours long.
- Candidates can appear for 1 or 2 papers, based on discipline.
- There will be around 30 papers including new combinations.
How to Register (GOAPS Portal)
- Visit gate2026.iitg.ac.in (GOAPS portal).
- Register as a new user using email, mobile number, create password. Receive enrollment ID.
- Log in and fill out personal and academic details.
- Upload photograph, signature, ID and degree certificates as per specs.
- Choose your paper(s) and exam cities.
- Pay application fee online (via card/UPI/net banking).
- Preview and submit application. Take a printout of confirmation.
- Correction facility will open post-deadline—topics like paper, city, category can be edited.
